Staging your home can make you money and sell FASTER!

When selling your home in a buyers market you have to have all the repairs done and ready to show.  Curb appeal is one issue that many do not think is very important in the winter time....all homes look the same...snow covered.

That may seem true...but take a closer look.  The homes that have cleared walks and drives...that is like cutting your grass and edging in the summertime.

If you have large icicles hanging down you may be looking at future water damage.  This is usually a problem with insulation.  If you can not correct the insulation issue yourself hire a handyman or a professional to do it for you.  This can cause buyers to question your home and offer less.

Moving to the inside you have to do look at your home as if you were a buyer.  We live in our homes...but when we are selling our homes it is a completely different story.  We are literally setting up a image that makes buyers see themselves living in your home.  If the closets are full...they cannot see their coats or clothing in them.  Make sure they are open and roomy.

Kitchens with all the little magnetics on the refrigerator...that cover the clean look of your refrigerator and is distracting...people feel closed in, if your counter have to much on them it doesn't give the true picture of open counter space.  You may have a buyer pass on making an offer because they felt you had to little counter space when in reality your home and kitchen would have been perfect for them!

Over stuffed rooms that have funiture, tables and hanging lamps with every wall surface covered with photos should be looked at too.
